County Wicklow is renowned for it’s natural beauty. Known as the “Garden of Ireland” it offers an abundance of outdoor activities for all tastes, ages and budgets.
Here are some brief examples of the activities available:
Walking
Wicklow is a walker’s paradise with the famous “Wicklow Way” among many walks available. There are walks of all typesfrom a gentle stroll for all the family to a stiff challenge for regular hill-walkers. Walking Festivals are organised by Wicklow County Tourism to give both the active and less energetic rambler the opportunity to sample some fantastic walks with a real festival atmosphere.
Golf
County Wicklow has a number of superb golf courses to provide everything from pitch and putt to championship level courses. There are excellent courses at:

Horse Riding

Clara Lara Funpark
Clara Lara Based in the Vale of Clara, Clara Lara Funpark is set on 100 acres of fun for the whole family. Just 15 minutes drive from Devil’s Glen and 4 miles from Glendalough a visit to Clara Lara Funpark is a must. This family outdoor adventure centre includes an assault course, children’s playground, crazy golf, waterslides, rowing and lots more.

Bridgewater Shopping Centre (Including Cinema Complex)
Bridgewater Shopping Centre is home to more than 40 fashion and lifestyle retailers. The centre is located in the heart of Arklow and boasts a fantastic range of top high street names from Ireland, the UK and Europe.
In addition to that, the centre is home to a state of the art nine screen cinema showing all the latest releases. Only 5 minutes drive from Seaview B&B
Kippure Estate
Kippure Estate is one of Ireland’s foremost providers of corporate events, team building and outdoor activity days, catering for corporate groups as well as private groups. Glenroe Open Farm
This family run farm offers hours of fun and relaxation for all ages. Here you can get close to a wide variety of farm animals and pets, including Sika deer, sheep, lambs, cattle, pigs, goats, ducks, geese, turkeys, peacocks, hens and chicks. The Coral Leisure Centre
Located in Wicklow Town about a 40-minute drive from south of Dublin City. The facility has a 25 metre deck level swimming pool and a 9-metre learner pool. Also in the pool area is a sauna and a steam room which offer the perfect opportunity to de-stress, unwind and relax after your swim (over 18's only)
Quad Trekking, Archery and Clay Pigeon Shooting
Located in Newtownmountkennedy, Hilltop Quad and Sporting Club is just ten minutes from Devil’s Glen. Enjoy the unique thrill of driving an all terrain vehicle around a specially designed track over hills and valleys and why not test out your skills with archery and clay pigeon shooting. Participants must be over 12 years of age for the quad bikes and over 16 years of age for the clay pigeon shooting.
Best kept secret on our doorstep
Brittas Bay Naturist Beach is only 2km from Seaview house. If you fancy a dip in the nip. the nudist beach is just south of the main beach area at Sallymount! Not too many know of this amenity as it has been kept a secret fotr many years.
